Job Description

Innovative Driven is currently seeking a charismatic and experienced eDiscovery Project Manager to join the legal technology team at one of our most prestigious law firm clients! This firm works with the most sophisticated corporate clients, and the legal team regularly handles highly complex transactions, litigation/controversy issues, and regulatory matters.

This position will be based in the firm's Washington D.C. office, with three days onsite and two days remote each week.

Qualified candidates MUST have a minimum of five years of eDiscovery experience, including the use of Relativity in all phases of electronic discovery (coding, scanning, document management, client contact and trial support.)

At least 5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience from within a peer law firm or large eDiscovery vendor is required for this position!

DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with the internal legal team and clients throughout the eDiscovery process, from collection through post-production tasks.
  • Provide recommendations about design, processes and workflows, including drafting project specifications for vendors.
  • While consulting with the attorney teams, provide analysis and feedback of ESI protocols
  • Identify and address potential risks regarding collection, processing, review and production.
  • Assist with the vendor selection, vetting, and engagement process.
  • Participate in client preservation and collection discussions when receiving a new matter
  • Manage all aspects of data collection
  • Manage all aspects of data processing (coordinating with processing vendors, tracking custodians, reviewing search terms, providing date ranges, determining optimal deduplication methods and troubleshooting processing issues.)
  • Communicate detailed processing instructions to the vendor.
  • Manage all aspects of review (setting up and designing the review database, access permissions, managed review providers and third-party vendors, and developing the review workflow.)
  • Manage all aspects of document production preparation
  • Conduct quality checks on final production volumes and media
  • Manage all aspects of post-production database work
  • Advise case teams on the use of databases to create privilege logs
  • Set up processes for deposition/interview preparation and for potential trial exhibits
  • Provide end-user support and customer service to partners, co-counsel, case teams and clients throughout all phases of litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Participate in technical conferences with regulatory agencies and opposing counsel as needed.
  • Track progress of projects by maintaining and updating project files and documentation.
  • Review and verify vendor invoices to match budgetary goals
  • Develop proposals, plans, cost estimates, and budgets for new matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of five years directly related experience in a litigation environment using technology to support litigation efforts, with specific emphasis on all phases of electronic discovery, as well as coding, scanning, document management and trial support.
  • At least 5 years of experience with litigation support software and eDiscovery platforms
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Relativity
  • At least 5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience from within a peer law firm or large eDiscovery vendor is required.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.
