Job Description

QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY

· To continually improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency, this Sr. Director will combine expertise in material flow management with substantial knowledge of information and financial flow, to design a supply chain strategy that aligns supplier performance to Company requirements, and to develop and manage supply chain processes that deliver high quality components, subassemblies, and assemblies while reducing costs and managing NRE and required working capital. 

PURPOSE OF JOB

· Create and execute Supply Chain strategy for the company

· Supply chain management

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Creation and execution of company supply chain strategy

· Ongoing management of supply chain activities including planning, sourcing, production, and delivery aligned with production demand

· Anticipate and actively manage risks to supply and availability of material to preclude production interruptions

· Risk mitigation

· Measure and optimize supply chain operational and financial performance

Specific responsibilities include:

- Negotiate supplier contracts with core factories to support critical business needs

- Identify and execute total cost reduction opportunities

- Support R&D, Manufacturing and Quality teams as required to meet target costs and schedules

- Track and report supply chain metrics

- Ensure compliance with policies, systems & controls

- Develop & implement a continuous improvement action plan

- Purchase goods by securing price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies by applying a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e- rocurement, strategic collaboration, tenders/RFPs etc.)

- Implement supplier strategy/shape supplier base. Assess and develop suppliers in order to meet business needs and opportunities

- Ensure effective risk management of the supply base through robust contracts and monitoring supplier performance

- Implement corrective actions as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum BA/BS degree in supply chain, finance, business, economics, engineering or other relevant field

· MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum 10 years prior experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Quality Systems

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 

· Working knowledge of ERP eQMS systems

· Operational and financial metrics

· Inventory management

· Master scheduling

· Supplier capabilities

· Logistics and distribution

· Analytics reports

· Strong written and verbal communication

· Ability to work in teams with multiple stakeholders as well as individually
