School Occupational Therapist – Full-Time

Location: Bremerton, WA

We’re currently hiring a full-time School Occupational Therapist to support a school district for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a fully on-site role based in Bremerton, WA .

About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide school-based OT services that help students overcome physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional challenges—enabling them to fully access their education. You'll work collaboratively with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to empower students and promote independence across the school day.

Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting the development of fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting, cutting, tool use)
  • Improving gross motor coordination , posture, and balance
  • Promoting independence in daily routines (e.g., dressing, feeding, toileting when appropriate)
  • Assisting with sensory regulation strategies and focus accommodations
  • Adapting classroom tools and materials to promote accessibility
  • Recommending and training students on assistive technology (e.g., pencil grips, slant boards)
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, and specialists on accommodations/interventions
  • Conducting evaluations and contributing to IEPs and 504 plans
  • Monitoring and documenting progress toward therapy goals

Qualifications

  • Active Washington State Occupational Therapy License
  • Valid ESA Certificate (Educational Staff Associate)
  • Prior school-based experience preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation systems a plus
  • Must be available for full-time, in-person work
