A global freight forwarding company from Asia is looking for a new member to join their Sales Department. This position is a Sales Representative position and we are reviewing candidates with 0-4 years of Sales experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.

We are looking for someone who can do both Account Management and New Business Development in Washington State. The sales team is trying to expand their business to not only Asian companies, but US and European corporations as well.

This position will start out as a contract position of 6 months. Activ8 and our client will review and evaluate your work performance and attendance during the probation period, and will change to direct hired if there is no issues.

We can provide you Medical and Dental insurance (Group Insurance) after 3 months. No Holiday pay during the contract term (6 months). You will receive PTO after 4 months.

Responsibilities for Sales Representative Position:

• Generate new business through cold calling.
• Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities.
• Offer solutions through freight forwarding services including international import and export (ocean/air), warehousing, cargo insurance and customs brokerage.
• Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team.
• Utilize to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs.
• Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met.
• Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory (Oregon and Washington)
• Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas agent.
• Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.

Qualifications for Sales Representative Position:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, International Business
• Previous Sales role experience in Logistics / Freight forwarding Industry is asset.
• 1-4 years of Logistics Coordinator (Ocean and Air Cargo) is a plus
• Ambitious and outgoing individuals who are interested in building an outside sales career within the freight forwarding logistics industry. We are looking for someone who actively seeks new clients.
• Ability to build relationships while cold calling and be confident in presenting information to prospective customers on the company's shipping services during face-to-face meetings.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-making processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
