Job Description

Job Title: Program Manager – QA/QC

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Hybrid – Denver, CO 80205

Position Overview:

Responsible for the overall management of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) oversight process for all project-related engineering, construction services, and overhaul activities. This is a program oversight role requiring technical experience, such as engineering or construction.

The position is accountable for coordinating, implementing, and executing QA/QC programs that may apply to multiple projects, disciplines, or areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with plant directors, project managers, project leads, and Overhaul Management to meet QA/QC standards and requirements for all capital and O&M projects.
  • Provide direction and assistance to project leads in developing QA/QC project plans.
  • Assist in the development of inspection and testing plans, including identification and scheduling of quality witness and inspection points for fabrication and installation activities.
  • Coordinate work activities of QA/QC inspection personnel with the project lead.
  • Manage QA oversight for projects, including:
  • Inspecting and reviewing field construction activities.
  • Monitoring job site safety.
  • Overseeing equipment down areas.
  • Scheduling/staffing of inspection resources.
  • Tracking project schedules and procurement.
  • Ensuring documentation, receipt, fabrication, and installation of material & equipment.
  • Implementing QA/QC measures, including inspections and testing.
  • Maintaining effective job site communication.
  • Supervising staff augmentation for inspection personnel.

Quality Program Oversight:

  • Implement and manage uniform quality construction standards and processes for all major capital projects across the Energy Supply fleet.
  • Review and analyze construction quality performance against industry trends.
  • Provide quality performance recommendations to the Construction Director and Superintendents in Energy Supply.
