Preconstruction Manager – Florida (Design-Build Focus)

I’m working with a dynamic, employee-owned General Contractor in Florida that truly values its people and invests in their growth. This role is perfect for a Preconstruction Manager with strong Design-Build experience who wants to lead complex, high-value projects while enjoying direct leadership access and a collaborative team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage all preconstruction efforts for assigned projects, with a focus on Design-Build delivery .
  • Collaborate closely with owners, architects, and trade partners to define project scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates, conduct risk analysis, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate trade partner bids, scope reviews, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating and preconstruction team.
  • Support presentations to clients, project handoffs, and internal project reviews.

What Success Looks Like in This Role:

  • Proven experience managing Design-Build projects from preconstruction through execution planning.
  • Strong technical skills in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and preconstruction services.
  • Ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and provide actionable solutions.
  • Builds effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Continuous focus on learning, development, and improving project delivery outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in preconstruction, with Design-Build projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing high-value, complex projects across commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use sectors.
