Job Description

Ambassador Personnel is seeking a Lead Sanitor for a food processing plant in the Texarkana AR area. The Lead Sanitor is responsible for assisting in the supervision of sanitation team members, ensuring the plant is clean, and production starts on-time and as scheduled.

The Lead Sanitor will clean and coordinate cleaning task per Master Sanitation schedule and customer request on an as needed basis. Work with Sanitation manager to direct and ensure the completion of daily tasks through one on one direction with hourly employees and follow up and complete inspections.

Position Responsibilities/Major Duties

• Ensures correct staffing is in place before, during and after shift.
• Provide proper documentation for any rule violations that occurs during scheduled shift. ( Attendance, dress, plant or safety )
• Provides immediate assistance and documentation should any accident occur during schedules shift.
• Coordinates with sanitation manager to resolve employee issues that might develop during normal day to day job functions.
• Clean and inspect work performed daily to ensure that our customers sanitation needs performed.
• Responsible for training of new employees per Sanitation managers and customer request
• Serve project specialist when major shut downs occur.
• Ensures cleanliness of entire bakery on daily basis.
• Practice and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
• Responsible for inspection and documentation of all completed tasks.
• Perform other duties as directed by Sanitation Manager and customer.
• Notify Supervisor if any problems arise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing.
• Prior sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English language skills (reading and writing) required, Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills helpful but not required.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal (people) skills.
• Proficient computer and analytical skills needed.
• Detail-oriented.
