The Installation Division Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful execution of landscape construction projects from start to finish. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, operational efficiency, and financial oversight to ensure that all installation projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep experience in landscape construction, the ability to manage multiple job sites, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for all landscape installation projects.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered according to approved designs, specifications, and timelines.
  • Monitor job progress, quality, and safety through regular site visits and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and work with crews and clients to resolve them quickly and professionally.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage project coordinators, superintendents, field supervisors, and crew members involved in installations.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to field staff.
  • Ensure crews understand project goals, scope of work, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and onboarding of new installation members.

Scheduling & Logistics

  • Create and manage installation schedules to ensure efficient use of labor and equipment.
  • Oversee the coordination and delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to job sites.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships and compliance.
  • Ensure timely sourcing of all project components.
  • Manage schedules to accommodate weather, delays, or client changes.

Quality Assurance & Safety

  • Maintain the company’s standards for workmanship and job site cleanliness.
  • Establish quality control checks on all projects.
  • Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections.

Budget Oversight & Cost Control

  • Monitor project budgets and labor hours to control costs and improve profitability.
  • Review job costing reports and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Oversee timesheets, job expenses, and subcontractor invoices related to installations.

Client & Internal Communication

  • Ensuring regular updates on project progress, challenges, and completion timelines.
  • Collaborate with sales teams during handoff and project kickoff meetings.
  • Ensuring final walkthroughs are completed and the client is satisfied before closeout.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation of job progress to include, but not limited to, invoicing, labor hours, change orders, and materials used.
  • Submit weekly field reports to the executive team.
  • Track project milestones and compile post-project analysis to support continuous improvement
