Knoxville, TN | Infrastructure Engineer | Full-time

We are actively recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hybrid direct placement opportunity that will require some onsite work in Knoxville. This role involves extensive hands-on work with advanced server technologies, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), virtualized desktops, load balancers, and other critical infrastructure components. The Infrastructure Engineer collaborates with various IT teams to integrate and maintain infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage advanced server technologies, including Windows and Linux servers.
• Implement and manage hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions, particularly Nutanix.
• Configure and manage virtualized desktop environments using Citrix or Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Deploy and manage load balancers to ensure optimal distribution of network traffic.
• Implement and manage storage solutions, including SAN and NAS systems.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to infrastructure issues, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and capacity planning to ensure infrastructure scalability.
• Lead the technical response to infrastructure incidents, coordinating with the incident response team to determine root cause, resolve issues, and permanently remediate.
• Configure and support identity and access management (IAM) systems to ensure secure access to infrastructure resources.

Experience:

• Minimum of five years' experience in infrastructure engineering
• Proven track record in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions within an enterprise environment
