Job Description

SRG is excited to be working with a Portland-based company in their search for an experienced HR Director to lead and manage all aspects of their human resources operations and strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, performance evaluation programs, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with federal, state regulations, and company policies.

Job Duties:

  • Administer HR plans, develop and maintain personnel procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and updating as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish and develop HR goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Develop and administer employee relations and training programs to improve workplace culture.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to lead recruitment efforts, conduct new-employee orientations, and facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Administer compensation programs, ensuring fair and competitive policies, while monitoring effectiveness and making recommendations.
  • Facilitate performance evaluation meetings, maintaining accurate records.
  • Supervise Payroll Processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance; compute salary changes, process payroll data, and maintain records.
  • Oversee Benefits Administration, including enrollment, resolution of administrative issues, and management of health, retirement, and other benefits.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, federal, and state regulations.
  • Develop and monitor annual HR budgets and expense forecasting.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of HR experience, or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and 2 years of HR experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of personnel administration principles and practices.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
