Role: General Manager – Upscale Restaurant / New Opening

Location: Palo Alto, California

A vibrant new restaurant is opening soon in the heart of Palo Alto, and we’re looking for a dynamic, hospitality-driven General Manager to help bring this exciting concept to life.

This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class hospitality group during the pre-opening phase of a highly anticipated new property. The ideal candidate will bring polished leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all front-of-house operations with a hands-on, service-forward approach
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and development of a best-in-class FOH team
  • Cultivate a positive, performance-driven culture rooted in hospitality and respect
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth service and a unified guest experience
  • Monitor daily operations, labor management, and guest satisfaction metrics
  • Uphold brand standards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive financial performance through thoughtful scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls
  • Serve as the face of the restaurant, building relationships with guests and the local community

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
  • Proven success in managing teams and improving operations
  • Strong understanding of P&L, labor control, and service systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and guest engagement skills
  • Ability to lead during high-pressure service periods and special events
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude with the ability to inspire and energize a team
