Job Description

A leading consulting firm is seeking an adaptable, collaborative EHS/safety leader to join the team. This person will serve as a main point of contact for field biologists and staff across the region, and they will work within the EHS team to develop comprehensive programs and policies.

This position does have hybrid WFH potential, but this role does require an in-office presence at either the Sacramento or Oakland office ~3+ days out of the week. Other travel is infrequent. Relocation support is not included in this role.

The role:

• Act as primary EHS point of contact for the NorCal region.
• Identify areas for improvement, assist in creating dynamic safety policies/programs, and help implement these programs to meet the unique needs/conditions of each project.
• Track leading/lagging indicators and safety metrics to ensure a high level of compliance.
• Frequent collaboration with the EHS team and other internal stakeholders.
• Identify root causes, develop HASPs, and review JHAs.

The candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, 10+ years preferred.
• Experience developing, growing, and implementing robust EHS and safety programs across a variety of projects/sites.
• Experience with incident response/investigation, data tracking, and training.
• Consulting, utilities, and/or energy background preferred.
• Commutable distance to either Sacramento or Oakland. Travel is infrequent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
