Overview:

As an Event Specialist at Misunderstood Whiskey and OATRAGEOUS, you will play a crucial role in introducing our exceptional whiskey products to consumers through engaging and informative tasting events. You will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for customers, driving brand awareness, and fostering lasting connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Tasting Events: Plan, set up, and execute whiskey tasting events at liquor stores and key consumer events/activations throughout the region.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of products to effectively educate customers on their unique qualities and flavor profiles.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers in a friendly, approachable manner, encouraging them to sample our whiskeys and providing insights into our brand story and heritage.
  • Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell products during tastings, driving sales and brand loyalty.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Misunderstood Brands with enthusiasm and professionalism, embodying the brand's values and identity.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with liquor store staff to coordinate event logistics, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels at tasting events, ensuring sufficient stock and reporting inventory needs to management.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Gather customer feedback and provide insights to the marketing and sales teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event promotion, brand ambassadorship, or sales is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for whiskey and a willingness to learn about our brand and products.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proper certifications/permits will be communicated and required before all tastings
  • Valid driver's license and car.
