Warehouse Manager
Short Description
Armorpoxy is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee all daily operations within our 25,000 sq ft warehouse. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this individual will lead a team of 4 full-time warehouse staff members and part-time support. This is a working manager role, with an approximate 65/35 split between physical warehouse duties and administrative responsibilities. Forklift experience and strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols are required.
Overview
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily warehouse operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow across all departments. This includes leading a team of full-time and part-time staff, setting clear expectations, assigning responsibilities, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
A core focus of the role is hands-on involvement in order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory organization, and warehouse layout management. The WM will work closely with the Shipping department to ensure that all outgoing shipments are properly documented, accurately weighed, and entered into the order management system in a timely manner. This includes generating and verifying bills of lading (BOLs), coordinating with carriers, and managing LTL and FTL pickups.
In partnership with the Receiving team, the WM will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound deliveries are matched to purchase orders, accurately counted, logged, and stored systematically to maintain an organized warehouse environment. They will maintain clear, consistent communication with office staff regarding inventory levels, product availability, and any issues that may impact order fulfillment or customer satisfaction. The WM will act as a liaison between the warehouse and office teams, ensuring that priorities are aligned and operational needs are fully understood on both sides.
An essential component of the role is team development and performance management. The WM will conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide performance feedback, offer support, identify challenges, and recognize accomplishments. They will be responsible for onboarding new hires, ensuring all staff are properly trained on safety protocols, warehouse systems, technology platforms, and material handling equipment. The WM will also take the lead in establishing and refining operational procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checks, and performance tracking systems, to ensure productivity and accuracy across all functions.
Above all, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-maintained work environment. This includes implementing and enforcing OSHA standards, conducting routine safety checks, and addressing potential hazards promptly.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of the warehouse as if it were their own business, seeking ways to improve, supporting their team, and ensuring the overall success of Armorpoxy’s warehouse operations.
