Job Description

Montgomery Automotive Group is a leading group of dealerships in the area and is currently hiring automotive sales representatives. We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a sales representative. As a salesperson, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional car buying experience to customers interested in new and used vehicles. Your role will involve understanding customer needs, showcasing different vehicle models, conducting test drives, and guiding customers through the sales process. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for cars, and a strong desire to exceed sales targets.

Automotive Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers in a professional and friendly manner, establish rapport, and provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the vehicles available for sale, including their features, specifications, pricing, and available options. Stay up to date with the latest models and technological advancements in the automotive industry.
  • Guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to vehicle delivery. This includes conducting needs assessments, recommending suitable vehicles, arranging test drives, presenting financing and leasing options, negotiating prices, and closing sales.
  • Proactively identify and pursue leads through various channels, such as walk-ins, phone inquiries, internet leads, referrals, and follow-up with existing customers. Develop and maintain a customer database for future marketing and sales activities.
  • Foster long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals. Maintain regular contact with customers to provide post-sales support and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and goals set by the dealership. This may include monthly, quarterly, or annual sales quotas, as well as other performance metrics related to customer satisfaction, upselling, and revenue generation.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, financing applications, and vehicle registration documents. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all sales-related documentation.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to highlight the features and benefits of the vehicles to potential customers. Utilize multimedia tools, brochures, and other resources to effectively showcase the vehicles.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions. Use this knowledge to anticipate customer needs, address objections, and position the dealership's products and services effectively.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through training programs provided by the dealership or automotive manufacturers. Stay informed about new vehicle technologies, financing options, and sales techniques to enhance sales performance.

Automotive Sales Representative Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Automotive experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Results driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficient in using sales CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues and departments.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Consistent work history.
